Kids Healthy Snack Ideas

Toddlers love (and need) to snack. Well-timed snacks can tide a toddler over between meals and stop them from entering the hunger tantrum zone. Between meal munchies can also boost their nutrition levels when you serve fruits, veggies, wholegrains and calcium-rich foods as snacks. This list has also become my go to fridge list when I’m packing kinder and School lunch for my 3 and 5 year old

Most toddlers and children do well with three daily meals plus two or three snacks a day at mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and again after dinner, if necessary.

So break away from the usual sultana snack packs and cheese sticks with these yummy toddler/child snack tempters!

  • Toasted muffin with a scrape of honey or fruit spread
  • Slice of toasted wholegrain bread topped with ricotta cheese and fruit spread
